"The idea that I wanted to embody was to meld the 1943 war-era world with the present time in a relatively seamless manner such that the folks passing in and out of the 60-year gap appear to be oblivious of or at least unconcerned with their time travel. It is noted that the pedestrians on the right side have already passed the war-era sign post and the auto on the left is emerging into the color world of the present, with most of the two-dimensional cinder blocks still imprinted."
