WAHLGREN AUTOMOTIVE
My wife's 1937 Ford. We bought it in 1996 and finished it in February of 1999. It was a long-time hot rod that still had a lacquer paint job. We had a friend do all the bodywork and had Dave Williams paint it. It had TCI Mustang II front-end suspension, to which I added air ride. We changed the dash and gauges, and the bucket seats to the ones found in the SVO Mustangs. We then had the interior completely redone, installed a stereo with two sub-woofers and an amplifier, and I put in a stainless-steel 15-gallon fuel tank. It has a 351 cubic inch Ford Cleveland motor with a Schneider cam with crane roller rockers, MSD ignition, custom exhaust with electric cutouts, power rack and pinion steering power disc brakes. There’s nothing more that can be done that would make it any better. We’ve been to car shows as far north as Morro bay and as far east as Yuma. We have over $70,000 invested in it. Also it gets 18 to 20 miles per gallon on the highway. |
