John -- My next-door neighbor is Mr. Dean Rizor, long time woodshop instructor at Crawford. He was telling me a story about one of his students named Susan, and a beautiful rocking chair she made in one of his classes. He doesn’t remember the exact year but thinks it would have been 1968, 1969, or possibly 1970. I’ve included a portion of her original sketch and a couple of pictures of her finished chair.
Would you include this in this week’s Happy Fry Day’s, to see if Susan is out there or anyone who knows Susan? Her last name is possibly Corum or Corium. I know Mr. Rizor would love to hear how she’s doing.
In fact, it would be great to hear from anyone who had Mr. Rizor as an instructor. Any good Rizor shop stories out there?
