Two views of the U S Grant Hotel from the early 1950s. I was always fascinated by the Union Pacific sign above as a youth. I guess you could make train reservations there. The photo below looks up Broadway and, beyond the Grant you can see Harris & Frank clothiers, Walkers (before Walker and Scott?) and San Diego Trust & Savings.
