1935 California Pacific International Exposition Map
(Posted on Facebook by Pernel Thyseldew on May 10, 2024)
This
view looks sort of east. You should recognize the California Tower in
the left front and the Arboretum left of center. The Ford Exhibit,
today's San Diego Air & Space Museum is in the lower right
corner. Way in the back you can see the old streetcar line and, at
the left rear, the Georgia Street bridge.
Our own map expert Dick Cloward shares the reverse
side of the 1935 Exposition Map. Dick says it was done for Shell
Oil by Don Bloodgood, a well known pictorial map maker of the period.
