The 7-Seas Locker Club • 407 West Broadway
Touting
itself as the serviceman's "Home Away From Home", the 7-Seas Locker
Club, according to the
neon sign, offered a launderette, barber shop, 1-hr cleaning, uniforms,
tailoring, jewelry, travel agency, and -- oh, yes -- lockers. This
was a time when sailors had to come ashore in uniforms, THEN could
change into their "civvies". (Not to be confused with "skivvies")
