Pacific
Beach grew five-fold during WWII, but there
were still plenty of empty lots when Howard
Rozelle took this 1946 aerial. Most of the
lots have paths worn in them as favorite short
cuts. Two trailer parks and the old fire
station are visible south of the pier. The
Roxy Theater, where the post office stands
today, can also be seen at Emerald and Cass.
