The Ted Geisel UCSD Library
and Memorial Statue

The Cat in the Hat stands at the ready as Dr. Seuss sits back in his easy chair and puts his feet up on his desk. The Ted Geisel Memorial Statue was executed by sculptor Lark Grey Dimod-Cates in 20024.  Behind the two is the UCSD Theodore Geisel Library, designed by William Pereira & Associates and built in 1965.  (Photo and information courtesy of Scott Shaw)
