My
wife Eva and I photographed at a Tea Ceremony in the Gion (Geisha)
district in Kyoto, Japan in late January 2020.  We were on a
month-long trip to Japan.  We visited our youngest daughter and her
husband and their baby son in Okinawa, then went on to tour the main
islands of Japan by Shinkansen (bullet train). My wife visited the Tokyo
International Great Quilt Festival, while I took the opportunity to
walk around the city of Tokyo.  We returned to San Diego just ahead
of the bow wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.  They were checking
everybody’s temperature before boarding the plane in Tokyo, but did
nothing when we got stateside -- Bob Creason ’62
