guess we know the date on this photograph --
August 14, 1945. Howard took this shot of VJ
Day -- Victory over Japan Day -- late in the
afternoon looking up Broadway from 4th Avenue.
I suspect we could tell if you're of a certain
age if you can correctly pronounce Dr.
Beauchamp. Also of interest is a sign for
Aircraft Emplyment (upstairs at 1023 Fourth).
Looks like Walker's (before it became
Walker-Scott?) is a couple of doors up from
Dr. Beauchamp.
