Maybe you should have a page for Cars We WISH We'd Driven to School. Here’s a Kodachrome from Spring 1961 that I took at British Motors (on Kettner I think) when the Jaguar XKE had just come out. Fritz Ziegenfuss and I came of age car-wise around January 1955 when his dad took us to the auto show in Balboa Park, indoors, at night. We came home with stacks of slick brochures and pored over them. I can still recognize instantly any car from 1955. You'll note several vintage cars parked across the street in the photo. It looks like a Studebaker, DeSoto, and Oldsmobile. I'm not sure about the car on the near side of the street. It’s possibly a Hillman -- Bob Richardson '61
